EEPROM (Hardware IDs) Search HelpUsage: Downloads + info to help find a modem’s EEPROM ID. An EEPROM search allows you to find drivers & info on any modem--including totally unknown modems--by using the Hardware ID stored within it’s EEPROM.
Searching for an unknown modem will try all combinations of all relevant IDs for you, where possible finding both drivers, modems & chipsets. Finding your modem’s chipset is a good alternative to finding another driver, since drivers for one modem with a particular chipset have a good chance of working on another modem with the same chipset. In addition, many chipset mfcs now make available drivers for their Reference Designs which at least allows connection even if Voice or other features are lost.

Site Info, History & Page StatsThese pages are a LAMP-development of the original Modem-Help, UK site (most of the old HTML pages still exist, but havn’t been updated for quite some time). That site, in it’s turn, was a transfer from the first html site on free-pages at Freeserve (sadly, now gone). The current format allows superb search facilities, customisation by Registered members, plus is quick ‘n’ easy to update. Diligently put together in the UK by Alex Kemp. All efforts have been taken to ensure the veracity of what is written - if you know of any errors or omissions then please let us know.
